Ambatchmasterpublisher Star Trek - What Salary Am I worth?

Ambatchmasterpublisher Star Trek had a strange day today.

You see my lease is up in 3 wks time and I thought instead of renting in Sydney again, I will try to buy my own place.

Due to a bad business 2 yrs ago when I lost more than $100,000, my income for tax returns was not good to show for loan. My broker suggested I ask to change from self-employed to employee on Salary, to get loan easier, cheaper rate.
Low doc(ument) in Australia means no need to show tax returns, but pay higher interest rate.

When I asked him, he wasn't keen as he has to pay superannuation and other tax for me. I have worked for him for 4 yrs and it is too much for him to pay a few more dollars to help me.

Tonight, I felt sad, as I feel that my employer thinks I am not good enough, not worth $44,000 or $50,000. In One Year. What worth am I? It is a sad fact to realise that other people do not think I am worth much.

Tomorrow I am meeting some brokers to see how they can help me.
Also, I feel sad to leave my birds who are my friends. At my work, I do not have many friends as my employer tells them not to talk to me. He wants to keep me and them separate. My tears are falling...

Yesterday it took me 6hrs to go and look at houses for one hour with an agent. I sold my car 7 months ago to pay my debts. These houses were too far away. It would take 1.5hrs one way to go to work. I must find something closer, but my budget is not very big.



I am rebuilding my life and it is not easy. I am alone in a big city.
Hopefully, in my new house, I can make some new friends. I hope there are some friendly birds to talk to me there.
